Description

made and render in Lightwave 7.5 It's an animation, Rain, water, trees, flag and vegetation move. Still in work and progress. If you have any idea for making the ripple of the rain on the water, your suggestions are welcome. Thx for your help.

very cool scene, maybe you could use a more weathered texture on the bridge, but excellent scene! for the ripples I would use an image sequence of concentric rings fading outward as a bumpmap. but then again, since it seems to be raining rather heavily, in real life you wouldn't be able to recognize the ripples anymore, just go for very fast procedural displacement enveloped on the Y (and Z if it's flowing water) with a very low scale, so it seems the water is constantly stirred, you can always add a bumpmap with the same properties as well for the distorted ripples look. good luck on the animation

Great Image, excellent modeling and very good textures. Great work! As I was reading your VERY GOOD question about the waterdrops, I had an simply idea. Its possible, to make an script in director in ca.20 min, and record it to avi. If you are interested, but you are not using diretor or similar, write me an e-mail, I will test in the evening, if my idea possible.

thanks for your help. Grass was made with simply polyone + Sasquatch. The movement of the grass is done with 2 Morph. I'll test your suggestions about the waterdrops.
