Description

Thanks Armands, Bob and Ruth. Scene info: The location was found, altered and rendered by me. 75% of the mist was removed, the lighting was enhanced, the sky alterered/tweaked and the depth of field effect + levels was done in post. This is not my first visit to this planet, but it's my first actual render. I wanted to find a wide POV with a lot of depth but also _scale_ and I think that this turned out pretty good. My tests were done at 30 meter ASL, but this one was at 67 meter ASL. This was rendered without shadows, because I was rendering in Lightwave 3D at the same time (with a deadline) so I wanted both renders to be done within a few days. The final JPEG was over 900 kb large so this 512kb-version is therefore very low quality. Thanks for viewing/commenting. ~Arvid

Well done all around and the addition of a story adds to a very prominent render.

fascinating. magnificent planets .. I have wondered why never any traces of alien civilizations on the Mojo worlds - now you hint at one in this work. love to see that explored in more depth. The beauty of serile planets only goes so far before something new and interesting should be added. Shrive would be a great place to find some previously hidden trace of "others before" - you are definately one of the top artists to handle that work too. :-)
