Description

The textures for the planet were made with Terragen, the clouds with the PS-PlugIn Lunar cell, and the modelling and rendering with 3ds max. I downloaded the spaceship model at 3dtotal.com.

I really like the earth.. the clouds are cool too. only think about the clouds is they should have different layers. clouds tend to form at different altitudes. nice work

have to agree with trogboy, IMHO there is no depth to the clouds, try making a copy of the earth model and apply a trans/bump map to raise the cloud layer, still a great image :)

Yeah the clouds are a bit flat but it's still way cool.

Hi, thanks for your comments. The clouds are already a different layer, need to raise them a little bit, maybe I'll try to add another cloud layer. I'll show you the result when it's ready. Hannes

The layers look great. Reminds me of something I would see from the space shuttle. Nice job!
