Description

Damn this digital technology... I can't stop shooting! Went today, camera in hand, to the newly re-opened Conservatory Of Flowers in Golden Gate Park in San Francisco. The building's been closed for years after considerable damage in the 1991 Loma Prieta earthquake and additional damage in later years from storms. It's been completely refurbished and restocked with roomfuls of lush, exotic flowers and plants from all over the world. Grabbed a few shots that I hope you enjoy. Back to my trip soon, I promise! No filter was used to create the blur... just the DOF from the camera. Thanks for looking. :)

Nice not having to worry about film, eh? The dof here is so wonderful. Love how it makes the dots blur together then become clearer. Looks like it has tentacles too! Kewl vote huggles =)

Beautiful close up and great little background story to go with it. I look forward to becoming side tracked by the joys of digital photography. You might like my latest image "Autumn Apple Leaf". Ahhh, the joys of mother nature. :)

Whoa Steve, this is making me dizzy:) The DOF is making me feel as though I'm falling into the tentacles in the centre:) Fabulous shot and a great find:) Now about this road trip..I was all rev'd up and ready to go and now I find we didn't get past the first set of lights;)

Yes! I agree with Cynlee...some of Us are very sensitive....some of Us even need Clinical Drugs to be in the Position that You are in....I also shakes head in disgust"...tsk tsk...soon as Ya give a Bloke a Big Zooooooooom He can't stop shooting"...I'm outa here....lovely Flower :)
