Not very detailed and from what I see it is not very accurate besides loosely resembling the sihouette of the original beretta. Too minimalistic and LOD for me. Sorry :(

thanks greggbie, i think void misses the point of it. it's not surposed to be realistic or photorealistic. just conceptual. it uses no plugins, no textures (apart from the strange cartoon effect thing), 2000 polygons and took 1 hour and 5 mins to model. it takes only 1 second to render a frame on a amd-duron 700. it's not claiming to be accurate, and not being from a society or culture where there are more guns than people i wouldnt really know if it were accurate or not. Thats what i as an artist set out to do, i judge other work, not at face value but i try to see it from what the work should have been. if this was surposed to be a photorealistic, auto-cad accurate biretta then i would be very embarresed to show it to others as it is blindingly obvious that it is no where near that. i try to take time to visualise what the artist wanted to produce and then judge the work on if they did that or not, perhaps im alone in that way of working, but hey in traditional forms of art, such as painting and sculpture that is how its done. i want to see CG art put in the same category or cultural achievement as traditonal art and only when the the artists themselves become more 'matured' to actual art concepts will this ever come to pass. Thanks for reading my insane shouting...
