Arnheim's DomainBIOAfter trying a few superhero manips for Comics2film.com, I started to dabble in visual jokes inspired by Rene Magritte and have now started into original photomanipulations.
The name is from Magritte's painted tributes to an Edgar Allen Poe short story; 'The Domain of Arnheim', featuring a cliff face 'morphed' into an eagle. I guess there's nothing new under the sun...

Arches speak of not only strength but also balance between forces. Of weight and gravity ... but also setting aside (suspending) gravity to allow a passage. Taken together, all of this gives a feeling of permanence.

Great insight! This dressed stone has a particularly satisfying scale - the construction is so clear and it's great survival only confirms it's perfect placement. I love the way asymmetrical courses can sum to meet precisely - a simultaneous equation.
