Description

This picture was taken from a light aircraft on a trip from Vegas to the Grand Canyon. It was not the smoothest of flights and not easy to keep the camera steady, but I got this shot of a recreational area around the Lake Mead region. Why the water came out so green I don

Could be algy orso? What cam you use? I know, long time ago, in the Drome, Alp mountains, I saw a lake turn from blue to green as soon as the sun hit it. The villager said it where algy :) Maybe that. Anyway, the shot is stunning, almost a painting like feel. If you want it supersharp, try the shortest shuttertime. I try it, hard to get, these shots. Bumpy things and windows that are often not 100 percent clear and also reflections, it reamins fun doing it.

Kro might be right. I've been to Lake Mead and also don't recall this color, but light gives water so many different looks depending on the conditions. Regardless, it's a very fine shot Rich. Great job capturing the vastness! :)

Great vantage point for a shot :)...almost seems a Bryce render. Very cool, almost surreal to see all that green in the middle of a desert. Great shot.
