Description

Modeled in Wings3d. At first I thought it was a plant, but when I stuck it in Vue it looked like it was going somewhere, so maybe it is an animal. Whatever it is, it's returning to the sea, perhaps to mate, feed?... Who knows. Used about 40 lights, no ambient. Custom materials. I may model these guys a little more and add some eyes or something.

Interesting creature/plant. You used 40 lights??? What are all these lights for? I simetimes need 5 to 10 on more complex scenes.No offense meant. :)

Walking mushrooms... why not, I know of a SciFi novel with such stuff :) Did you thought about putting some traces into the sand?

Eyes would be a nice touch. Cool creatures. I like the texture. I find this sort of thing great fun. Nice work.

Winged One, I used lots of lights to simulate the ambient light cast from the sky and reflected from the ground. It's not as noticeable in this scene with the harsh sunlight. Got the idea from some Bryce light dome tutorials.
