It genuinely was foggy when I photographed this at the top of the 199 steps at Whitby But of course when you get the gaussian blur bug . . . .

It really looks like that! I walked up there at night in 1980 and it was wet and foggy and there was a full moon--and of course I had no camera! Thanks for the great image and the reminder!
