Description
This was the last large illustration that I ever did. (Not completely true, now eight years later.. but it got me off drawing cute shit and on to surrealism!)
I was commissioned by Mr. Ito in Tokyo after he wanted to purchase "Another Parade" and I didn't want to sell it. He asked for a bouquet of flowers and left the rest up to me.
During this time I was getting separated and finally divorced from Michika, my first wife. The Ito's were friends with Michika and decommissioned the painting, even though I had already done so much work to it.
Since then I have had an offer from Japan and two offers from here in America to complete this piece that same commission, but I feel that the picture is now complete... and I will never do more to it.
Hope you like it. Sorry the Valley got taken down yesterday. Also, I've made this picture so large so you can see the detail. Sorry if that makes it difficult to see the whole picture for some of you.... I'm more than willing to make it smaller... but then I would get bombarded!!!!
Have a great day everyone.

this is a beautiful piece of work.. i have a painting along these lines too.. i worked on it for a long time but being so large i kinda lost connection with it so now i consider it finished when only half completed.. it now is hanging on my wall (6' x4') and i am always asked when i am going to finish it.. my reply being "It is finished." i am quickly becoming a fan.. keep them coming...

Maybe it would've been better if you had to color fading in slowly from the left to the right. (I'm kind of referring to MC Escher's 2 hands drawing each other) That way the right part of the bouquet would come out even more. It looks like you were kind of going for that approach in the first place because of the water color borders, but after reading your text you're apparently not going to do that anymore.

this is a great image, though i have to admit, i agree with SYNDROID's comment.
