Description

For this image, my idea was to make a UFO over a city, after many try it seems to me that the best POV was from the top, Easier to make a realistic city view this way.; no need to do complex and heavy poly modeling. The city is not a picture, it is a terrain with an elevation map paint in photoshop, (small brushes and a lot.. a lot of patience) the map is 2048x2048 pixel. Clouds are volumetric texture on spheres and a plan with soft transparency clouds. The UFO is made with boolean operation and procedural textures. Hope you like it.

I am missing some ground ship of the UFO. You do have it with the clouds ! I think it can give a better sense of how high the UFO is IMHO

Excellent concept and execution Pidgy. Just that the cloud on the right doesn't look realistic enough. Do give the plain cloud texture as against the volumetric a try, though you might have to work a bit in Photoshop for it. Congratulations on the terrific city scape. Also the complete top view could give a mistaken impression of the UFO being a huge stadia or a huge building. Would cranking the camera to a perspective shot help change that?
