Damn man, thats good. I like the detail on the clothing and the hair and the flying petals are a nice touch. My only suggestion is that you pull back the camera to show what shes doing with her hands. The picture draws our attention to her hands and then leaves us hanging.

Fantastic work, Eric! This has a very strong anime feel to it. Really exceptional in all the details.

Don't know why, but this image made me think of Luthien Tinuviel from the tale of Beren and Luthien in the Silmarillion by Tolkien. I imagine this was how Luthien looked when Beren found her singing and dancing in the woods of Doriath. Anyway, just a thought, Nate.

@mwa: the character is incomplete, I just modelled the head & neck. The cloth are separate objects: HyperNurbs for the tunic and Loft/Sweep Nurbs for the other elements. The hairs are just a dozen of lofted splines with the same alpha mapped texture (a very easy method!).

Ok to bad, had hoped you had a super way of boneing figures with clothes. But I guess this is the best way to do it. Your result are certienly excellent. And the hair is one of the best ones I've seen using that method! Thanks for explaining.
