very nice image, out of curiosity, what was it done in? Looks like it could be acrylics, but also kinda like prisma color.

It was done in watercolors. Originally it was just a black and white pencil drawing, but a friend said how they would love to see it in color, so I did this a couple of months ago.. even though the original image is about five years old. The baby is snuggled in between the mother (vegetables) and the father (fruits) His little butt is the watermelon. .... and believe me.. the worst thing about this illustration wasn't the painting.. it was the tiling of the image to get it to 300dpi and the clipping path!

don't you just love those clipping paths?.. very effective but so time consuming.. this is brilliant work, man.. i agree that this had to of taken you forever.. time very well spent though.. i hope the parents don't "squash" the baby.. i know bad comedy but i had to do it.. it turned out great.. i'm gonna give you a vote on this one .. This is truly wonderful. I really love how you have used the different types of fruit and vegetables to form a part of the body or represent clothing. I'm especially impressed with the shoes/ feet. There's even a sense of masculinity and femininity. The baby isn't very obvious though, and in real life I think it wouldn't a safe way to hold a baby (unless the parents really, really, REALLY like to hug). "Seeds of the Future".
