The hairs on your brush are especially fine. It's hard to believe it is 3D and not an illustration!

great work, rollmops. how did you do the burlap texture? i'm especially amazed by the hairiness of that fabric.

The hairs of the brush and the fibres were made with Solid Spline Pro.The fabric is a high resoluted texture i made before,with a special relief and displacement channel image.Some alpha-layers were also used.Around 1600 single fibres were used in this scene...:)

Everything about this picture is excellent. You should get it sent to Maxon and 3D World magazine for their galleries. In fact, Maxon should use this in their manual for C4D 9!
