Description

Back home (earlier than intended) from my holiday in England's Lake District, it's time to play with photos... This montage was stitched (via Photoshop 7) from 9 individual shots. The location is a beach near St Bees, Cumbria, a seaside village famed for being the starting point of the Coast To Coast Walk conceived by the legendary fellwalker Alfred Wainwright (1907-1991) The cliffs there are a photographer's dream, highly aesthetic and fascinating :-) Photography with Nikon Coolpix 4500, yesterday (15th October 2003) Thanks for looking, and for your feedback :-)

...probably about 270 degrees or more here, though I can't say with any accuracy ;-)

Fantastic job you have done. perfect stitching. These cliffs are amazing, I like the human to the left, giving the proportions of the scenery!

Better late than never ;-) This is bloody brilliant, Jim! Flawless stitching job. Really communicates the collosal geological forces over millions of years. I saw something like this sent back from Mars recently (without human, though!) Really must try this technique myself. As for Wainwright, I admire his drawing based approach. Much better than trying to describe a route!
