Description

Again an attempt to feel the possibilities and the limits of Vue. Mini tutorial in 5 steps: 1 - I have created a terrain (256 x 256) with a basic form of the stream (forming 3 stairs). 2 - Than I have jagged this basic terrain adding more times a series of modifiers (with some effects such: pebbles, plateaus, terraces, cracks, sharpen and so on). 3 - Therefore I have made 2 copies of this terrain slightly moving it on the axis X and Y (the first X = 0.002 and Y = 0.002, the second X = -0.002 and Y = -0.002). This to give greater details to the form of the stream. 4 - The material to be applied to the stream is a simple white shader with the following settings: transparency = 100% fading out = 0% for the first terrain setting as variable transparency a function of noise (smooth) of X=1.20, Y=1.20, Z=1.20 (with transformation = fractal layer). for the second terrain a function of noise (smooth) of X=3.60, Y=3.60, Z=3.60 (with transformation = fractal layer). reflections = 12% lighting: diffuse = 96%, ambient = 0%, luminous = 63%, contrast = 40% 5 - Add, finally, some vegetation around the stream and some rocks that go out of the water. All made, as usual, only with Vue 4.11 No postwork. Thanks for viewing and comments. Luigi.
