I love this -- beautiful job! His eye needs to look more "alive" though, maybe slightly "wetter" & darker with a smaller brighter highlight? Great bark, great aspect! --B from ronhondo studio.

The blue colour I like most, it is perfect. Maybe the yellow colour should look softer and like ronhondo wrote, the eyes needs to look darker and more shiny. Very nice image...

Looks really good. Suggestions I would give is to first, fix the eye texture. Create a eye texture, dark in the middle, and dark brown for around the iris. Apply this texture to a duplicated sphere and decrease its size slightly. The original eye sphere should have a transparent, 1.2 + fresnel and with total reflection. This will enhance the eye, especially under HDRI lighting. The beak looks a bit wierd, as the tip of the beak gets smaller in reality. If you could, give the feet less color. For the scene, you can use a separate background than the one provided by the HDRI map, which will work anyway to light the scene (thats what I usually do). Finally, I would change the tree texture to something more realistic. If you would like, I can send you one or two to try out! Sorry for the long post, but I really think you can make this scene better, as your model deserves!
