I saw a picture of a beautiful woman and was insipred. I would appreciate critiques and how I can sharpen my skill.

well - this is already great... - lets think about some hints... (i hope you don't mind - i myself are not good in sketching too... still learning...)
i think you could work on the hair so put more details there... then try to work on the shading... the face looks slightly flat (the lines and proportions are very good!) - think where the light comes from and try to work out the part which are more or less lit...
