Description

This is meant as a tribute to the amazing performers of Cirque du Soleil. They always leave me in awe by taking performance art to a new level every time. A special thank you goes out to those from the 2D forum for helping me get through the spotlight painting :) I think I incorporated a little bit of everything to get the desired effect...but it mostly came down to painting, smudging and multiple layer blending. I added smoke to enhance the volumetric effect...perhaps I got a little carried away, LOL. Kinda looks more like snow, but oh well. Now I know how to paint snow. :) Cirque tends to add natural looking elements to their performances anyway. So I guess it's not that big of a stretch. This was digitally painted in Paint Shop Pro 6.02 and PS Elements 2.0. Thanks for looking!

WOW! from me too ; ) The lights turned out really well in the end & enhanced the focal point too. Love the smoke effect, gives a real circus feel & it never looks like snow lol!
