does seem to be a bit much to have the out of focus in both the top & bottom of the shot, think it might be better if one or the other was cropped, great view of the mushrooms though! :]

Beautiful! You certainly are starting out well because the composition is outstanding. I disagree about the cropping. The image looks fine to me this way. That green grass adds a nice touch of extra color.

pretty good pic! can't find much fault with it. think the DOF is perfect! the perspective & the gradual fade to foreground really gives this pic character. i would personally leave both out-of focus bits in, but crop the top 1/4 inch above the 'fat tummy' on the blurred tree on the right. do you know what kind of 'shroom they are? looked though my british guide, but didn't find it. good pic man:o)
