Description
Walking through garden after garden of luscious flowers and looking out over wonderful vistas, one could not imagine there were more wonders to waiting.....
Then, suddenly, a small "room" was there, just off the path....it's entryway pruned gently from the lower branches of old and storied trees.........As one entered the space, there sat Saint Francis.... sculpted quite near lifesize. He sat upon the stump of an old tree in a pose unlike any I had ever seen before. And the birds were all around......

excellent shot, you can almost hear him speak :)

Great shot, and an excellent find. I'm no Catholic, but wasn't Saint Francis the saint of seizures?

Did you know that St Francis was Julius Caesar in one of his previous incarnations. This is no joke and can be verified by people who are able. Is this supposed to be a true likeness?

Wow, I've never seen him sculpted like this before. Indeed, a wonderful catch! Fabulous image! :)

Strange and partly harsh lighting, nice shot though!

Super 'catch!' The light/dark play worked out really nice. Neither one dominates the image. Cool.
