I caught this skyscape on the way home from work on a cold and frosty morning a few days ago.

Cool...that looks like a vortex of some kind forming....:)

Hello Andromeda, Thanks. I think the "cross" in the sky is the wake from aeroplanes. Being so cold, the droplets of water from the engines exhausts would show up as trails cross the sky. Bye, Tuppence.

Hello PapaGuru, Yes, I know. I think it's water condensation that makes the trails, but the jets obviously produce engine pollutants. Gone are the days when people stayed in their own home towns or villages! Thank you for your comment. Bye, Tuppence.
