Description
I heard on the radio that the Salt water marshes in Georgia are endangered. The scientists can't quite find out what has attacked them, but it seems to be some sort of algeae. Hopefully they will find out; and also find a way to stop the distruction of this rich piece of nature. :)

Wonderful shot. They're not only beautiful, but vital to the health of the system. I truly hope Florida has stopped draining them and paving them for subdivisions. You are fortunate to live there, enjoy.

I think it is because all the ladies making sweet grass baskets in South Carolina are getting their marsh grass from Georgia! Seriously though, this is a huge problem all along the Southern coast. Love your image! It is a truly peaceful setting.
