m3dm, I dont agree with you. I never copy nothing from other graphics artist and this in not an exception. The posted image is a downsample of a 4K x 4K lightwave render with final Photoshop postprocessing (color saturation, tonal range, sharpeness). It's a really simple Lightwave two sphere setup that use a tweaked (procedurally enhanced)Nasa bluemarble color image (landmass + oceans + clouds) + a very basic fresnel effects, I'm very far from the complexity of other Earth planet related scene setup available on the web. Reference image used are the following: The finished north and south America view represent a classic GOES-Satellite shot. very good picture. perhaps you must add a little transparency for the atmosphere edge. Nice work !
