Description
April climbs the slope towards her cave, right into the waiting arms of her best friend Emma.
Emma: "I thought I'd never see you again."
April: "Me too."
Lucistra, who arrived at the Vixen Temple the night after Emma escaped, follows closely behind April and sneers as the two girls hug.
Emma's eyes fall upon her. "Hi, I'm Emma. I don't think we've met?"
Lucistra: "I'm Kelly." Her eyes fix on the injury she gave Emma two nights earlier. "Your wound, does it hurt?"
Emma leaves April's embrace and touches her bandage gently. "Yes. And it won't seem to stop bleeding."
April: "Kelly, do you know which guard did this to her?"
Lucistra: "Oh yeah. He's a real bad ass."
April: "I want you to point him out to me when we go back to the temple tonight. I have a lesson or two to teach him."
Lucistra does her best to stifle a laugh. "I look forward to that. It should be...amusing."
