::: Part 4 of the MCAS Miramar Airshow 2003 Series ::: Taken at MCAS Miramar down in San Diego, California during the annual airshow (October 18, 2003) A UH-46 Sea Knight lands on the Miramar runway to deploy troops waiting for the go inside. This Sea Knight is taking part in the Marine Air Ground Task Force (MAGTF) Demonstration which simulates a small scale war as well as the tactics and power of the United States Marines. Everything from (3) F/A-18 Hornets, (2) AV-8B Harriers, (2) C-130 Hercules, (4) UH-46 Sea Knights, (2) UH-53 Sea Stallions, (2) UH-1 Hueys, (2) AH-1 Cobras, Abrams Tank, support vehicles, about 30 troops, and pyrotechnics that were set off to simulate bomb runs from the F-18s and AV-8Bs. A very very awesome display of power. Camera is a digital Minolta Dimage 7hi (5 MP). This image has been shrunk down to 33% of the original full size. Manual Focus, custom White Balance, custom contrast/exposure value settings to help in the harsh sunlight.
