Description

Sorry the thumb doesn't quite match up Thanks for viewing/commenting Sacha P.S. I know it's asking a lot, but would any of the masters here be able to give me some general pointers on where to go from here with my Terragen? Thanks

After your last image, I know you have it in you. :) You need to experiment a lot. One thing that the masters do is use actual terrains which are derived from Digital Elevation Maps. They also make terrains in other programs such as World Machine. People will trade terrains to each other. Beyond that, it is time to start playing with surface maps (the texture on the mountains), and you develop those by adding layers (children and siblings). The dialog for that is in the same display as the map of the terrain. You basically just start clicking on everything and twiddling with everything. Do a lot of looking: at pictures and actual scenery. That will give you an idea of what to aim for. Play with the clouds, the mist, and the water. If you don't already have them, get and install various plugins. The Terragen forum has links to a lot of this stuff. Nice touch with the birds!
