You are right darksider. It is from a book "Maya 4.5 Fundamentals" by Jim Lamers & Lee Gooding, published by New Riders.

Cool, looks like you're getting into Maya. I'm not familiar with that book you're using, but did you mean for the background to look exactly that way? Just looks like the wrong scale, like it is a miniature house in some grass and shrubs. :) But don't worry about it if it's just an excercise... Oh and the frames on the window - the way they aren't exactly square: if that's on purpose, that's cool. If you meant for them to be square - you can fix that...
