Description

This is my interpretation of Maleficent, one of my favorite villains. This image popped in my head while I was showering, of all places...figure that one out! Bare figure created and rendered in poser (texture was Enayla by Cin- and DrmzRmyne, but was lost in all the postwork), skin & lighting correction, and everything else in painter and Photoshop. I entered this in the Halloween contest. I made the top 20 in votes, but the judges obviously didn't like it. If anyone sees anything I can improve, let me know. :^) ***UPDATE: Thanks so much narad13 for your helpful comment. I redid the teeth: just a one step smear of green paint set to "darken." I doubt many villains use whitening toothpaste. Oops. ;^)

My fave part is the dress work, absolutely intricately fabulous! Your attention to detail is unnerving ;-) I don't understand the judging on that contest, but don't get me started...

Beautiful work on this one! I also really love what you have done in post-work. The only thing that caught my attention that I did not care for is that the teeth seem to be a bit too bright, Like a Close-Up commercial ;) But other than that, I think your use of color and light is spot-on.

Ah, Malificent is one of the greatest villians and you've captured her sinister nature very well. Well done...

I love the coloring; lighting; the detail on the dress, and I could spend quite a while studying all of these details in the image as a whole. You've done a great job in doing justice to a wicked queen's... wickedness. :D Fabulous work!

I love the coloring, too, wonderful evilish character. What I'd suggest is to make the background a little bit lighter in the area surranding her dress and crown. That would add more definition to the shape of her dress and make picture more dramatic. That is of course just my personal opinion, I hope it'll be helpful:) Otherwise it's very well done, I like it a lot!

How come another to this pallor late (a fantasy in season bleeding fanfare, like soul beneath the Queen in second air) a dim religious gloom, a dim religious gloom, as choppers wet the vein but seated wait. Another guessed another room to prowl, aware yet pleading blindness as a kitten crawl away, a fan a man of sympathy toward hope in masquerade, with dim religious gloom, a dim religious gloom, with tides I flee to sea and god somewhere. Perhaps the blade will know the way within a curious time, a new detente in jade-- Deeds cannot dream what dreams can do she said, in dim religious gloom, a dim religious gloom, slow death evade this flight of discipline.
