Description

This image is entirely an attempt to make a working piece of art using the free City. It was difficult because it is one solid 3dS object. Anyway, umpteen city textures later I added the "Emperor's Fortress" (now playing the part of a floating Harbor Security Station), the N-2 ship and the concord and here's what I came up with. I added the DOF in photoshop making use of the mask and depth channels from Vue (along with some complex techniques which I don't have time to make a tut for, sorry). Vue 4 on a Mac; Photoshop for the DOF; city by meatnickel N-2 Ship from www.3dheaven.net Star Wars - Emperor's Fortress by Ron Bublitz (website was a dead link) concorde_up.lwo (no idea where I found this) BountifulKnight.gif Comments and suggestions always welcome.

Stunning structure ! - (But I would not use depth blur for this scene) Depth blur should be used only for "micro scale scenes" it give impresion that objects are small - for landscapes it should be not used - but this is your vue - you are the artist :-)) - Excellent!

Hey BK this is pretty kewl. Love the station. However...I do agree that the DOF takes away from the pic.
