M-mmm Linda - your prologue to this wonderful image is reminiscent of an element of human character that seems quite prevalent in today's modern society - an air of defiance! The overall mood is indeed one of foreboding darkness, but yet the brightness of the blooming dandelions and those gone to seed lends a welcome ray of sunshine so to speak. What looks to be some kind of threatening bug adds a shudder or two to the render. Your choice of colors definitely harmonize with your conceptualization of this little Sprite's personality.
