Description

Basically done according to Richards tute...it's a frame taken from a 300 frame avi and it's a puffy gentle prairie snowfall...enjoy...comment please

Very well done. I like the way the snow seems to be affected by the wind. This should be even better when animated. I wonder how you tackled the way the snow falls on the ground. Does it just vanish or you see it sort of "incorporate" in to the ground? :)

Thanx Nuno,it just goes thru,but seems to incorperate as the human eye doesn't see very fast action it seem.I will post the avi in dec when i get my website up but am currently kinda broke so it'll have to wait.The implied motion is done by slanting the forward snowplane to the back and the rear one towards the front,keeping the 2 in the middle perpendicular to the ground.just a cheat that works well in the anim as well.

The snow looks brilliant, as do the trees in the distance. You've also got the diffused lighting you get with snow, damn near perfect!

thanx kevin...it was a rather high point in my attempts at snowy daze...when i get my page up i'll be posting the avi that this is a frame from...stay aware
