Description

The only problem I have with Nagel's work is that a lot of the models are starting to look dated. Most have a distinctive 80-ishness about them. Don't get me wrong - I love Nagel's style, it's the models that I want to try to get away from. In that vein, I have deliberately set out to make another Nagel-esque piece but with a model that doesn't quite fit the "Nagel Girl" mold. What do you think? Photoshop 7 Model: Cameron Diaz

I personally think it's bloody stunning...you've definitely captured the style and I couldn't agree more about the datedness of the models. Excellent :)

Excelent work! Good job bringing a clasic style back up to date with the times. You handled it with a deep understanding and respect for the original art, and definetly kept the feel. Mission accomplished.

i agree with you on the nagel girl looking dated but i think that's because of the clothig and accessories he added to his work. as mentioned above you have kept the style and brought it up to date.

I have to admit that I'm not so familiar with the current art scene so that I did a websearch for Patrick Nagel first :-) Now I know what you mean and you can be assured, your images are much more pleasing! Cameron is a stunner! I love it! What's the original size of the image?
