Description

When I saw Findus' shot of his little Tiger up in the tree, I remembered how in spring I desperately tried to take a pic of Johnnie in our blossoming "Zierapfel"-tree. Well, even though he loves to climb around there during the rest of the year, he didn't want to get up there then - guess because he's a boy and therefore doesn't like pink too much :-) (Please note how I avoided using that colour in the frame, because I didn't want him to get mad at me...)
There are a few things I don't like too much about this picture like the background (our neighbour just wouldn't allow me to tear the house down) or the way Johnnie kind of seems to be getting stabbed by that branch (trust me, he didn't get hurt), but I love his expression - even though it's not the most clever one :-)

Wow, I am astonished by you again and again... like it very much! Don't even try to tear the house -- it gives to the picture those spots of blue that add it absolutely unique color and moud... so springy thing -- very nise of you to post it in the late autumn -- it keeps me warm for some minutes :-)

I think the house gives it a nice subtle background, like cynlee said, it's not distracting at all. The kitty is the main focus and is too too cute! Excellent picture :)

I love his expression....so intent and interested in something off in the distance. As far as the background, well it's not too much of a distraction, really. FYI, and you probably already know this but.....If you ever have the opportunity (and Johnnie cooperates) to try again, stop your aperture down to a smaller # like 2.8 or 3.0 that will make the background more blurred.

From the point of wanting to do everything perfect, i do understand your point drea. But think of that poor neighbors, having to live on the street? Your cat is focus enough for the house not to be that much a distraction and it really adds some nice blue, the sky couldn't provide this time. Your title really fits to his face. Well done Drea!! :)

Cats are so independent, there's no way you could have made him do it any different:) Agree with Michelle about the aperture, but the background is not distracting:)

I don't accustom to make comments of works in those that eat main character this a cat, but this work is very particular...!!! I find shot perfect and in its fair moment, the lights and shades stand out the hair of the animal, and the attentive expression very well and to the watching it is perfect. Excellent job...!!!
