I empathizze with his problem. That's why they call it "fishing", and not "catching". The border is cool, but for my taste a little too wide, I'd rather see more of the picture.

Used to do those frames myself for some time. As garnite says, this one is too big (me thinks). The other problem is, repeating some content in an unsharp mode. It's a matter of taste, but i prefer to continue the picture in that unsharp mode, thus losing some information but avoiding having this double tree, you have on the right side. But all in all, i do like this kind of frames. The picture itself is nice. Well done retoke!

i have to disagree, for me the image is a all with the framing, excellent b/w and blur choice it really set's the mood and makes the eye focus on the shot, very, very well done!!!!

Lol, very nice fishing picture! Borders what's there to say, as long as they don't start to compete or interfere with the picture it's allright! In this one there is some doubt!

well, you know i've been working with frames now for quite awhile... the way you have it here, the main shot appears to be floating on top, which is fine, might even add a drop shadow to emphasis it but if you wanted it as an insert, i would've lowered the contrast of the frame to be darker then the main shot so the double tree does not stand out so much, another way to get the same effect, without doubling the tree, as you may already know, would be to select a smaller, equal crop within the main shot, save as, add your border to it & paste it back on the altered b&w, blurred original, so the main shot's lines would flow evenly over into the frame...
hope you dont mind i wrote all this but since you asked... & the shot itself is outstanding, might want to straighten out the far horizon just a bit left by 1 degree, will not effect the verticality of the man...
feel better soon... hugz... :D

Great shot of this fisherman. Bisschen schmaler we sch, aber man sieht dann auch schlechter was der Rahmen beinhaltet. er IM mach Dir mal keine Gedanken! Wie DU schon sagtest:"Momentan zlt man keine Tage, sondern Wochen" Hauptsache Dir geht es wieder besser!

I absolutely love the photograph..... The border, well I am boring and prefer plain white borders, I always feel like these frames distract from the photo, but that is just me.
