Description
Hi there,
This my latest Artwork:
A Savonette 14K gold pocket watch,
which's about 100 years old and
it still functions :)
So far, the clockwork is finished.
The pocket watch is a work in progress.
What do ya think about the realism of
the renderings? Any questions, tips, criticisms, .. ?
Thanks for your interest.
Greetings Daniel @ I-NetGraFX

Incredible!! Very realistic!

It's a fantactic work :the scratches, the traces of erosion etc... I just thought it was a photo... but I wondered what kind of escapement this savonette used :cylinder, anchor, duplex ? maybe it's the angle but it looks like the fork is missing.. I'm stunned it's amazing bravo!

Amazing! Can't wait to see the face!
chrysler
it's a very realistic render it's like a photographic image, cool details and metal looks, don't use to much depth of field, the rest is stunning realistic !!

Maybe, there's something missing, ... ... I haven't opened the pocket watch, because it belongs to my grandpa :)
But i will look carefully again. If there's something missing, i will complete it of course.
Thanks for your attention. on this link you can download the wireframe (368k).
It's only at 50% quality (about 2.3Million+ Poly's)

@Lynne
It took about 12h of modelling (some breaks in between, of course :)
and about a day of painting the texture. They are all handpainted in PShop, like you can see ...
Thanks for your interest.

@Polax:
You're right, there's still something missing ... I have already added it to the scene.
Posting follows soon ... Thanks for your attention.

There will be an animation for sure,
but first I'll finish the rest.
Here's the fully functioning clockwork.
Now it ticks :-)
and last but not least i added the knob to wind up the pocket watch.
Maybe there's to much light, and shininess ...
