Description

A local landmark, the imaginatively named "Big Rock". It's been used as long as I can remember for pledges of undying love, although the same names appear in different combinations, and "I was here" notes. You can find anomolous rocks like this on the bald prairie as well, they were left by a receding ice age, and are known as Glacial Erratics. Come to think of it, some of the painters didn't look all that stable either. No one wants to move the sticks, in case it does roll into the water. Thanks for looking, comments welcome.

Wow! Thats almost 3 times the size of the one called Devil's Rock I use to play on more then half a century ago~~"ouch" lol, deep in the "West Point" woods.
Actually that was only the top of it ~the rest was buried.

You can really determine how huge this rock really is with the small figure in the foreground. Amazing capture and story. Now tell the truth, were you ever tempted to remove those sticks/branches just a liiiitle bit? :)
