Description

VuePro... only post : contrast and gamma correction with XnView The mountain : a DEM file converted to DXF with Kashmir3D. A new version of an old snowy moutain texture and a volumetric atmosphere... Trying to do as realistic as a Terragen pic... Don't know ..

Excellent work. The sense of scale is just right and the texture is perfect. I especially like that there are just a couple of clouds in the sky. I think it is as good as a terragen pic, definitely.

Even though they look terrific, I don't think Terragen pictures can do this much texture details.

Marvelous, Patrick, great lighting, great atmosphere, intelligent touch the two mountain climber. I remember the your previous pic "Silence" on this theme, they are beautiful both, but in this last there is such a realistic light... You could perhaps add some cloud in more, but I also like it this way. BRAVISSIMO and vote naturally!

The lighting and atmosphere are superb. Snow always seems problematic with Vue. Excellent image nonetheless!

Texture is one of the best I've seen in Vue. Lighting is near perfect. Even with the JPEG artefacts it's still a great picture.

Before I read your comment, my first thought was "Terragen quality landscape". The smooth sky gradient and the subtle clouds are equally wonderful. Excellent work.

I am not sure about Terragen, but the sky is fantastic (reminds me of Saint Veran in the Southern Alps). Beautiful rendition of high altitude atmosphere!

I envy you. That is terrific. I always wanted to do Terragen like landscapes with Vue and you know how to do it. Please share your wisdom (tutorial), so we can explore this issue further. At least this is one of the best Vue landscapes I've ever seen.

Not too bad Vue is much better at this sort of image than Terragen IMHO.
