In your day to day life, how many people do you think you know who are suffering abuse? Would you know a person who feels like they have a hole in their soul, just by looking at them?
Thanks for looking, have a wonderful day!

WOW! This is stunning! Such an evocative image! It touches my soul! But as jstsittinghere says: "the abused are the best actresses, so sometimes its hard to see"! It's, unfortunately, very true! When u've been hurt so badly, u just don't talk about it! Excellent work.

What incredible vision you have! This is so sad-the empty eye sockets with only a tiny spark of life are so moving. Excellent work!

Wow!! Fantastic!! ;)

Great!! The black eyes and the zippered lips tell a lot about what's going on. The victims are all around us, speechless and invisible, but burning with rage within. The tiny stars in her eyes hiding behind the tears just might signify the life that can't be completely submerged. Wonderful work.

Yes there is many people such as this. There is also many places for assistance. Each human has the right for speaking up,excercising thier rights, and being a person. Many times in my life I was told, God gave me 2 ears and 1 mouth so I could listen twice as much as I talk.Well I choose to talk.Just as much as I listen. It's my right.Choose carefully the path you walk, then all your ways will be sure. By the way, this is an excellent image.Good Work!

Very powerful image Barbara and yes, you can tell those with a hole in their soul. It shows in their eyes. I agree with amethyss as I was told the same thing many times. Unfortunately, even though there are places for assistance, many who are abused cannot go there, whether it's their mind that holds them back or something else. Excellent image. vote from me :) Hugz&Cuddlz- jen :)

uh, wow. Pretty powerful message you have going on there. I once was that person and you are right, noone knew. People that have not gone through it have no way of understanding and make statements such as "Well why didn't you do something about it or call someone?" How I only wish it was that easy, when terror consumes your life and codependency envelops you, you have no voice of your own, just a whisper in the night. Excellent piece of artistry.

Wow..this image is so gripping.Abuse is a silent suffering, the abused carries all the shame.Been there and you have captured the battered persons pain just as it should be.Raw and without pretense. This would make an excellent image for a P.S.A. on abuse.Simply excellent Barbara.
