Description

"It is said that the venom of the Taalren Fiend is so toxic that death occurs in under a minute. There is no known antidote." This was my entry in the Creature Creator contest. I didn't win anything (boo-hoo) but at least I have another image for my portfolio! Critter created with the demo version of Creature Creator Pro, skinning, texturing and rendering in Maya.

This is a great scary demon type monster. With those teeth you know he's deadly, toxin or not. Big claws, a nasty disposition, horns, and really rough skin....what more could a monster be made of?

I like the creature an immense amount, but I think you should rework the bump mapping. You should actually UV texture the bump mapping for his body, because, due to the different shapes/sizes of his body parts the texture stretches in some parts. Other than that, nice job!

Ross1968: Creature Creator Pro is a standalone program for creating models of different types of creatures. It's kind of like one of those kid's games where you can swap out different heads, arms, feet, etc. in different combinations. Then you can export the model into whatever 3D app you work with.
