This reminds me of the slot canyons of Utah if they had been filled with an assortment of mercury and other melted metals. Wonderful sense of near symetry.

This is from 2003, which was before there was electricity and running water...and one of the signs that this is from then is that the zoom is the same size as the display version. But it's one whale of an image, with wonderful swirls and sweeping lines, and some mystical king or queen standing, in front, looking at us in (I hope) benevolence. Wonderful light on the 'head' (I'm speaking as if this were a humanoid, ya gotta go along with me, lol), and wonderful swirls. The 'torso' looks like it has a large cape or shawl or scarf, all made of light. THere's a light on top too---this is a wonderful scene inside a shrine or cave, with a light coming down on it everything. Beautifully made and conceived.
Tom, I'm way late in thanking you for your comment on New Years: I read it that day, but I'd just gotten through family illness, and then my own illness (mine wasn't bad, just debilitating), and I just didn't get to most people. I'm only now catching up. But I really appreciated what you wrote, and I wanted to thank you. It meant a lot to me, esp at the end of a crazy year. Your great open heart and open and receptive spirit and kindness are missed around here, as is your art. It was great to see you on rr again; and I greatly appreciated what you wrote. A wonderful new year to you and your loved ones. Hope it's not too cold where you are! m
