I think I already told you I like this Gun :-D
Very strange and somewhat creepy. What particularly works for me is the "floor" at the bottom, it's a definite grounding for the image, making the faces constitute the rock walls. The floor even seems to have a natural "stairway" into the eye-pit of the lowest face. And to complement the floor, a ceiling too... both serve to give the image a place in space, an "up and down", and for me this strengthens it. The eye doesn't quite know where to settle in this piece... this is something I usually regard negatively but in this case I don't think it matters at all :-)
As usual, love your colour sense too. And... hey, I haven't commented on the chiaroscuro here... well, I am able to perceive depth from the light and shadow, so it works :-)

We have got woods at the back of our house - but I'm not going out in them after dark now ;) I like the pic very much, it reminds me of that opera "Where The Wild Things Are."

Very scary and strange. Gnarled roots, rocks, trunks, branches...they are all alive. The worst part is that your interpretation is all true! Just because they have no thoughts or feelings doesn't mean that they aren't out to get you.

This is so cute! I don't find them scary at all! U gave them very sad eyes...they seem more hurt than dangerous to me! Makes me want to help them...they really seem to be in pain, trapped, realising they're trees and gonna have to wait until they die (which can take a hell of a long time for a tree!) before they can be released! I really like this image Gun! It's a very moving one to me!

oooooh... would spook me, although i love to be out at night as long as it's not too cold & the wolves howling aren't too close... super strange forms that undulate & watch, fascinating work :]
