Description

With reference to my last posting, the etched version, I had already made this, then Acerebel submitted a great comment and question! So, I'll use my one-a-day for this one today. -*- It's a combination of the color of the photo, with the luminosity used as 'height', and with the etched lines multiplied in, all done in Photoshop. the original photo, a variant, and the line drawing all smashed together. Over the top is the original (distorted) text layer, with a stroke effect applied. -*- thanks for viewing! I'm interested by what you think.

An impressive one! I'm also working with photos as basis for post work with several effect filters. Your result is really great!

What a great feel you've got with this one. Very traditional illustrationy looking. You know? Like something from the 30's 40's etc. Very good work.

I liked the original, but I admit I like this better. Of course, each could be more appropriate than the other, depending on the intended use. I love the "spot" color here, and the way the colors lead the eye down the piece. Thanks for trying it. Your technique was clever, and it worked beautifully!
