Very good work,, I love those, have aslo some. Are the textures original scanned materials?

The textures are handpainted in photoshop with my wacom. About four or five layers of each material give the right realism. The eagle was a complete EPS-File. I painted out the Head and the Tail in a compostion. Some distortion and liquifing did the rest. So it looks like this.
