Description

This child is happy, laughing, delighting in all the beauty that the world has to offer. That child is hurt, alone, in pain and fear. Waiting every night for the monster who comes not from under the bed but walks through the door as if he owns this house because, of course, he does. This broken child lives within me and my task in healing is to unite her and make her whole again.

Totally agree with Dr-b! Very intense and the artwork is wonderful. Very special because of the eyes-effect. ~Saskia~

Sympathy, impathy and name the man... I would willingly have more than just words for such as he. All men are not like that. Do not forget, it is your heart which has been broken, but you still have life. I'll wager the courage it took to render such an image, speaks volumes about whom you are. May the sun shine forever on the only path I wish for you. The path to true happiness for the rest of your life.

Very touching words! I know what it's like to have such bad childhood. It's something you never forget, whatever you do, it's carved into your soul! The image is beautiful, a real look trough the victim's eyes. Well done!

One of the often quoted purposes of art is to stir the emotions and provoke a response. I'd say this piece counts as art, by that critera. It's a brilliantly thought out piece, very well done. As for the reason behind the picture, I don't have the words to say what I feel.
