Description

ok ,this one was a super-quickie, spent maybe 5 hours on at in all, but a picture Ive been wanting to do for like a year... sorry, not much to it---rendered in bryce, and then painted over in PS. the quote is from The fellowship of the Ring, its short but powerful. the balrog was made from vandalar's "Abyssal Lords" I edited the texture and added clays volumetric fire. I spent a while modeling the great hall in the background but it ended up being less significant than I wanted. comments welcome... Jordan

This is bloody excellent work! I'm a huge Tolkien fan and you've got the Balrog down perfectly. I love the skewed POV and the postwork is spectacular. Congratulations on an absolutely brilliant piece of work.

Hey ,this is some excellent work Woodhurst! I loved the visualization of the Balrog in "LOTR" parts 1 & 2, and you've done a wonderful rendition of him here.
