BIO
I spent 5 years working for a leading Park Ave, advertising firm. From there I moved on and I am currently a Telecommunications and Networking professional working on projects around the world. I get to do 3D for my job but not nearly as much as I'd like. Lightwave, Photoshop, Flash, Dreamweaver are but a few apps in which I am proficient.

Try harder with your terrains and water

Great peice but, I agree with Curio that with a little more work on the terrains and water that this would be a flawless image.

I agree, But alas I have deleted the terrain files and the rendered PSD. file. There will be no returning to this image as to any of my images. Other than the Model mesh which I still have this JPG is the only surviving evidence of the effort. I have downloaded terragen. It has a better interface to lightwave and seems to be able to produce much finer results. I shall be playing with the SW for a few days and expect to have much better results. I was focusing more on lighting, reflection and ambiance rather than Terrain acuracy. Thanks for the input.

Nice work. The placement of the ship's reflection in the water seems off to me. The surfaces of the rocks in the foreground could use a little work, too. I love the lighting effect at the horizon, though.
