Description

My attempt for the 2D Forum November Theme: Chiaroscuro
Here I try to use light and dark shading to define a simple Calla Lilly as a 3-Dimensional object, whilst realising that it is going to be displayed on a 2-Dimensional plane...well that's the idea behind chiaroscuro anyway. I'm not too sure how well I have realised it here, but I had to try!

Great brush strokes, and I like the touch of radiosity. :)

This is a lovely subject cam and your treatment of it has really complemented it, the little yellow jobby in the centre stands out from my screen, so for me you have realised the Chiaroscuro technique, nice one mate. :0 )

This looks fantastic Cam, love the style! When I first saw the title I immediately thought of the new Stephen King novel I am almost done reading (Wolves of the Calla). It is an excellent book that has NOTHING to do with this excellent image!

A lovely image, the lily really stands out, and looks about as 3 dimensional as one can get on a flat screen.
