Description

Live has been so hectic lately, so this is my 1st Bryce image in a very long time. I'm pretty happy with it too :) This image was originally started for the Bryce Forum tree challenge months and months ago, which tells you just how busy I've been. But I had some time recently, so I was finally able to finish something. I think I've been staring at the rain too long, I can't tell if it looks realistic or not. The best solution, I suppose, would be to wait for some real rain to come along for me to observe, but as I'm living in San Diego that may be some time in coming, so I'd like some input. Does it look like it's raining? How could it be improved? And of course, any other non-rain-related suggestions for improvement are always welcome! credits: ground mat is an altered version of one of frankallen's Sky may or may not be mine--if it isn't, many thanks to its creator, whoever you are! grass made in Bantam3d Grass <--very nice free program! Happy Thanksgiving, everyone (even if you don't celebrate it)!

Great mood and atmosphere. Trees are excellent and the rain glistening on the single leaf in the foreground is a nice touch.

I've been trying to do a rain scene myself, and yours looks so much better than mine. I hate you.

I think the rain looks realistic, as well as the entire image, it is fantastic. The only suggestion I could make (if I may be so bold), is that I one saw another rendering here with a raining scene, and the guy enhanced it further by showing the droplets hitting the water and running off leaves. Doing ANY of this stuff is lightyears ahead of me, but if YOU can do it..go for it! :)

VOTE, most realistic rain I've seen in a long time, better than BryceTech's! I love the way that the scene sort of fades out into the fog. =) Well done!!!
