Description

An outbound freighter, caught on our last nice day. A simple course to follow, past my place, straight on for 100 miles, hard left, and in only a few thousand miles, Japan and the orient. Certainly gets the restless streak twitching. Thanks for looking, comments welcome.

Looks about 50,000 Tonnes...hard to Port...I used to write "Port Side" on My Left Hand..."Starboard Side" on My Right Hand. I was an "Untrained Mariner"...everything I have done is "Self Taught"...Your Sea Shots start an Avalanche of Memories. Cheers!

Not wanting to repeat Cyns words, i'd like to say thanks to all ship-watchers. No ships around here. Sadly. The more i like your pics! :)

i dreamed of shipping aboard a freighter when i was a kid. at 17 i got my papers for a freighter out of New Orleans and was headed out of the one-horse town i grew up in when the local cop pulled up beside me and arrested me. my birth mother had filed a false report of theft to keep me from "ruining my life". that close Jim, that damned close.

The frighter seems big, and the canal is wide... Everything great there!
